2012 Race Highlights
131 half marathoners started in South Williamsport Community Park and ran along the Susquehanna River Walk, through the Borough of South Williamsport, the City of Williamsport and Loyalsock Twp.

In addition to the half marathon, the event hosted a 5-mile walk with approximately 50 participants.

Jonathan Corsini from Philadelphia, PA was the first male finisher, with a time of 1:16:45.65, followed by Adam Walsh from Slatington, PA at 1:20:46.20 and Jeff Jones from Danville, PA at 1:21:49.20.

Tamara Pavlov from Lewisburg, PA topped the women’s field, finishing at 1:27:46.22. In second, Julie Pentico from Williamsport, PA finished with a time of 1:34:46.98, followed by Aimee Reed, also from Williamsport, PA, with a time of 1:38:47.21.

The event was fortunate enough to have 4 ovarian cancer survivors walk. Kathy Huling from Williamsport, PA, Rita Irish from Broadview Heights, OH, Deborah Smith from Annville, PA, and Georgena Smith from Danville, PA all braved the cold, demonstrating their resilience and bringing their ovarian cancer battles to the attention of the Susquehanna Valley.

Many race participants walked or ran in honor of not only these women, but also loved ones fighting ovarian cancer, as well as loved ones who lost their fight with the disease.
Between participant fundraising efforts and money left over from registration fees, Susquehanna Health Foundation's Spirit of Women program received a little over $17,500.
